SOURCES OF INSPIRATION

SOULFEEDING SOURCES OF INSPIRATION

GRATEFUL am I,
to enjoy life in the two countries that form the architecture of both my life and my work:
Belgium, crossroad of cultures, where I was born and raised, and Sweden, where I found a home in the silence of its overwhelming nature.

Lights and colours, materials and textures, forms and proportions, style, cultures, arts, crafts and traditions… wherever I am, I devour these sources both as an artist and as a historian.

My sources of inspiration tell me a story, showing their souls beyond the aesthetics. Instead of looking for perfection, I am moved by forgotten beauty, by silent witnesses of ancient glory, of simple life itself.

As a stylist, I trust upon three simple tools:
Heart, Head and Hands. They are my dedicated guides through the designing process, from inspiration over first drafts towards creation, which is a never ending story in itself…
